Hi Rick..
Thanks for posting my photos. My mate who sent them says you want
more info, here goes...
C&J nickel plated frame, Sammy Miller folding footrest
kit and chain tensioner, 250 Elsinore wheels and yokes, modified forks,14.5. inch
Falcon gas/air shocks, Malcome Roberts mudgaurds, Reikon bars, Magura
levers, bored and stroked Powroll 420 motor, hot cam, fancy valves and
springs, stronger clutch springs,38mm Mikuni, stainless front pipe with
Supertrapp muffler.
I bought this bike from a guy in London who imported it from
Powroll who used to race it years ago, or so I believe. I race with the
Scottish classic racing club and the Scottish
twin-shock club in the pre 75 classes. Most are natural rolling Scottish countryside
tracks. It usually rains on race day. Great fun on a four-stroke. My first race bike was a
Mk 2 Bultaco Pursang - a horrible thing., So I built a Maico framed XL 250 bored to
305cc,great handling and dead reliable. Then, I raced a couple of stock framed
XLs and a husky Honda hybrid which I built, sold it and now have it back.
This bike is nearly
finished. I will send a photo and more info soon, cheers.
