Hey Dave, I started with the stock 1975 XL250 frame, I ground off and sanded smooth all the brackets and mounts for the street legal stuff. I then sandblasted and painted the frame. The front forks are from a 78 XL350, the gas tank is stock 1975 XL chromed, stock front hub laced to a 19" Borrani rim, rear shocks are 15" eye to eye, K&N style air filter, other than 1mm over piston the engine is mostly stock. thanks for a great website
