1974 Honda XL350 motocrosser

I received this stock (but modified) framed XL350 when I purchased a truck load of XL350 stuff from Lou Sneeden (owner of Lou's Leathers). Lou raced the bike in AHRMA MX for a while, it came to me minus forks and tank and upon tear-down, I found it needed a rear cam chain tensioner. After replacing the tensioner, fitting an MT tank and a set of XL forks, the bike fired on the first kick.

Even though a stock framed MX'er, the frame was lightened by removal of all road-related components, battery, etc. The spark is directly generated from the alternator, now a magneto arrangement (in the same fashion as I use on all my XL racers.)

The bike has good valves, cam chain tensioner, and overbore piston. The stock Keihin carb has been modified for single-cable pull and re-jetted properly. Also fitted is a Powroll/Supertrapp style exhaust.
